Recently got the chance to do an incentive cover for the upcoming XCT issue 3. If you are not familiar with this book you gotta go check it out. All the greatest warriors in history battling it out in one book - what more could you ask for?
The kickstarter is up and running for issue 3 with some pretty cool perks including this lil incentive cover version :)

AMC Expo - Commissions List NOW OPEN
With AMC Expo coming up in just a few weeks I am now opening my commission list. We have found due to the hectic nature of conventions and speaking with people on the day there is not huge amounts of time to draw, So I am now taking commission orders prior to the convention for pick up at the event. PM either the From Above page or myself if you are looking for something and we discuss prices. - Craig

WIP entry for talent search
One a few projects I’m working on today. Got a heads up from a mate this morning on a talent search that has you draw a pin up image of a publishers character. Whilst I don't think my style is the right fit for their stuff I had to give it a crack anyway.

Trade Paperback
New stock of the trade paperback just arrived from the printers in preparation for our next upcoming conventions
AMC Expo Melbourne
Looks like we might have a few convention appearances left in us this year. Just in the last week we have been very lucky to have been offered guest spots at two upcoming events.
The first will be in Melbourne in October, where Alana and I will be appearing at AMC Expo. We’ll also have stocked back up on copies on the trade paperback so people will be able to pick up copies at the show.
This will be followed up by an out of state convention that we will be announcing the details of shortly…

Another Boba Fett
Found myself purchasing yet another Funko vinyl today. It was the protoype Boba Fett, which then became an excuse as if I needed one) to draw Boba Fett again. This time I went for the veritable odd couple with him and Bossk.

The Gate Keeper
Was really stoked to be asked to do a pin up for Ray Dillon’s upcoming comic, The Gatekeeper. Its got this cool post apocalyptic setting where after a massive end of the world event (see norse Ragnarok) most of the population are either wiped out or mutated. The handful of survivors find refuge in this last bastion they call Canyon City.
Protected by a massive gate the city is watched over by main protagonist, Clayton who dons a mysterious set of power armor and becomes the guardian of what is left of humanity.
Really cool concept, and dug the ominous overtones, so naturally I decided to treat my piece in the only way I knew how... light heartedly :)

Black Panther
One of the more surprising announcements for Marvel movies for me was Black Panther. That said I am really looking forward to this movie. Is great to see Marvel taking a chance on some of their IPs that aren’t necessarily the heavy hitting mainstream. I think GOTG proved that gamble can sometimes pay off...in spades!
Deadpool ... again!
Another Deadpool piece. This was one I drew back at Oz Comic Con Melbourne and decided to give the color treatment.

Drink' n Draw - Rogue Trooper
This to remind myself as much as anyone that I did some drawing as well as drinking at today's comic creator meet. Rogue Trooper inspired by that fact we are fortunate enough to have the amazing Colin Wilson at our meets!

New book project - Ink Island
Things have been a little quiet on the From Above front recently and there's a good reason. I've hinted of late about a book project I've been working on with the uber talented Ryan K Lindsay (Negative Space - Dark Horse, Headspace - IDW). I am happy to say we are now drawing back the covers on this baby!
Ink Island is a full color all ages book that Ryan has masterfully written and I've decorated with some pretty sequential art.
Here's a lil sneak peak of the first panel, just to give you a taste of the flavour of the book.

SDCC 2015
Just finally getting to process the awesome experience that was SDCC 2015. Wow! Blew all our expectations!
Firstly our panel went amazingly. We had such an interactive audience with great discussion and lots of questions. The show itself was mind blowing. Had a great meeting with an editor over there, talked to some amazing artists - some of which have been massive inspirations. Bought lots of cool merch, went to see a heap of awesome panels. We went to the Eisner’s, checked out all the local restaurants and bars had to offer, and even got to go to a couple of really cool drink and draws.
We met so many cool people over there and had an amazing time. 4 days at the show and we still didn’t get to see everything. Really was an amazing trip.
